About Therapy

Therapy is an intentional space for you to explore and process what feels overwhelming or stressful in your life. By looking at stories and events we can understand more of how they have helped shaped us into who we are and how that impacts us now relationally. Together we can pay attention to somatic states (what stories your body is telling you), core relationship dynamics, and where you’re feeling stuck.

A first session will include us getting to know each other a little bit, space for your questions and concerns as well as talking about what goals or hopes you have for our work together. We might talk about your history with therapy (if you’ve been in therapy before) and what you’ve loved and wished was different about past experiences. We can also chat about the issues you’re struggling with and hoping to give space for in subsequent sessions. We’ll work together to help you move towards your goals.

Ultimately, I believe emotional health looks like growing in compassion and love for yourself and others, as well as learning how to share more of your experiences with those you trust. It’s a difficult world out there. We could all use more support on this journey.
